Beach Ride Event Sponsored By Horses On Trails - 2009
                                 Barbara Bornstein and Dai Dayton

On Friday, March 5, 2010, we attended the rally organized by Lisa W. Ott, President of the North Shore Land Alliance, to help save
New York's Environmental Protection Fund from budget cuts which, among other dire consequences, would result in closing and /
or limiting public access to many of Long Island's parks.

organizations sponsoring the event such as STPS/HOT, and by members of County and State government who were there to relay
our concerns back to Albany.
Although the event overlapped with the annual STPS winter dinner, and we weren't able to stay through to the end, we did
manage to meet and and express our point of view with many officials.

The government representatives we were able to meet with were:
(photo 1 shown with Barbara and Dai) County Executive Steve Levy, and
(photo 2 with Barbara L to R), Pat Foye, Deputy Nassau County Executive, Michael Harrison, Long Island Representative to the
Office of Governor David Paterson, and Assemblyman, Steven Englebright.

In addition to the government representatives mentioned above, others present include:
